Principal Dentist
BChD (Pretoria) 1979Francois graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1979 and has been practicing in the UK since 1983, while also pursuing sport at an international level.
With over 30 years of experience, Francois has developed advanced expertise in full mouth rehabilitation. He has a special interest in orthopaedics and orthodontics, and has lectured internationally on topics related to facial growth in the UK, USA, Mexico, and South Africa. Patients travel internationally to Brickstables for Francois to attend to their TMD issues which he also has a passion for.
Francois continued to stay at the forefront of his field through postgraduate training across the UK, Europe, and the USA.

Periodontist
BChD (Pretoria) 1979Hennie fulfils the role of diagnosing and treating diseases of the gums and supporting tissues. With Hennie's vast experience in the placement of dental implants, patients are in the hands of an expert. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Pretoria in 1979 and subsequently completed his postgraduate degree of Oral Medicine and Periodontics with Honours in 1985.
Since 1985, Hennie has worked in private practices in Pretoria while also lecturing part-time at the University of Pretoria. In 1996, he brought his skills as a specialist in Periodontics to the UK and Tanzania.
Hennie is a registered specialist Periodontist with the GDC, allowing him to perform complex treatments such as soft tissue grafts, sinus lifts, periodontal surgery, implant placements, and all-on-four treatments which he has been completing at Brickstables since 2007.

Anesthetist
Medicine (Stellenbosch)

Dr Swart studied medicine at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. During his first two years as a medical doctor he worked in South Africa rotating through different hospital departments including Anaesthetics.
He moved to the UK in 2003 and became interested in Emergency Medicine. He now has 12 years experience as an A&E Doctor where he regularly performed emergency procedures on sedated patients.
As part of his daily duties he taught medical students, nurses and junior doctors. He has kept up to date with the Resus Council (UK) courses ALS, APLS and ATLS over the last 10 years. He started working in NHS dental sedation referral centres in 2008, and is regularly involved in private sedations in Harley Street and several other locations.
He started as a honorary lecturer with University College London in 2014. Other interests have been working as a cruise ship doctor on the Queen Mary II cruise ship and working for the Metropolitan Police as a Forensic Medical Examiner.
Dental Practitioner

Edyta graduated from the Medical University of Bialystok in Poland in 2001. Throughout her years of experience, Edyta gained a special interest in orthodontics. She completed further training to offer different forms of orthodontic treatments for her patients, including comprehensive orthodontics, Six Months Smile, and clear aligners. She also received her advanced cosmetic and implant training at The British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry in Leeds and is a member of the International Team for Implantology.
Edyta is a recognised Lumineers provider, which gives patients a beautiful smile whilst limiting the structural damage to the teeth. With over 20 years of experience in dentistry, she is known for her attention to detail and calm, friendly manner, where she creates a relaxed and comfortable experience for her patients.

Dental Practitioner
BDS Lond 2011Amy is a friendly and experienced dentist dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. She graduated from King’s College London and continued her training at Guy’s Hospital before working across both NHS and private practices.
Her priority is always to listen to her patients' concerns and use her skills to help them achieve the results they’re looking for.
Amy has a strong passion for cosmetic dentistry, offering treatments such as composite bonding, Invisalign, facial aesthetics, and medical-grade skincare. She also expanded her expertise to include dental implant placement through ongoing advanced training.
With over 10 years of experience, Amy places her patients’ well-being, safety, and individual needs at the heart of everything she does — always staying up to date with the latest techniques and innovations in dentistry.
You can find Amy at the practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Dental Hygienist / Therapist

Amy qualified as a hygienist/therapist from King’s College London in 2009. Previously, she trained to be a dental nurse at the Eastman Dental Hospital in 2006. Amy has been at Brickstables since she qualified in 2009.
She offers a gentle approach for her patients by creating a warm and welcoming environment while she focuses on stain removal which she particularly enjoys. Amy is also passionate about highlighting the importance of TMD to her patients which she has learnt after working alongside Francois for many years. Also, Amy is extremely passionate about natural remedies and homeopathic healthcare.
Amy offers professional teeth whitening treatments.

Dental Hygienist

Kate qualified in 1997 from the Eastman Dental Hospital and brings years of experience from both NHS and private practice settings. Kate has an immense passion for promoting the link between oral health and overall well-being, believing that the mouth reflect the health of the whole body. She is particularly dedicated to raising awareness about gum health and treating bleeding gums.
Kate began her career as a dental nurse and Oral Health Educator before moving on to graduating as a hygienist. She previously worked as a tutor for hygiene students at the Eastman Hospital before starting her family.
Kate offers airflow and professional teeth whitening treatments.
You can find Kate in the practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and some Saturdays.
Dental Hygienist
FdSc Oral Health Science Essex 2010

Laraine qualified from the University of Essex in 2010 and gained the National Achiever Award. She joined our team after working in Harely Street for 8 years to be closer to home and brings her wealth of experience to Brickstables. Laraine enjoys visiting schools to teach children about brushing habits and giving dietary advice, and has a keen interest in aiding patients with periodontal disease. Laraine also offers professional teeth whitening treatments.
Outside of the clinic, Laraine is a qualified kite surfing instructor who enjoys spending time by the coast in her camper van.
You can find Laraine in the practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and alternate Fridays.
Senior Head Nurse
Lesley first qualified as a dental nurse in 1991. After 18 years of nursing, she decided to take a break to run her own successful business for 18 years. After COVID, Lesley moved back to the area where she grew up and decided to return to dental nursing which she re-qualified in in 2023. Lesley works alongside Hennie on Tuesdays and Amy on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Lesley has recently started training for a further qualification is dental radiography.
In her spare time, Lesley enjoys going on long walks with her dog and sons.

Deputy Head Nurse

Sovita joined Brickstables in 2022. She qualified as a dental nurse back in 2019. Sovita has a passionate interest in orthodontics which she is able to work on alongside Francois on a Monday. She also works with Hennie some Tuesdays during implants.
Sovita is currently enrolled on a dental hygiene course and is due to qualify in 2026.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family.
You can find Sovita in the practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays.
Dental Nurse / Social Media Manager

Charlotte qualified as a dental nurse in 2022 and has been a member of the practice since 2023. Charlotte particularly enjoys aesthetic dentistry and oral hygiene. She has recently enrolled on a course to become an Oral Health Educator which is a new service she will be brining to the practice once qualified. While nursing, she is extremely focused on infection control, ensuring the safest environment for every patient. When she isn’t nursing, Charlotte keeps Brickstables’ social media up to date with offers and practice information.
You will find Charlotte nursing with Edyta assisting with implants on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while she nurses with Francois on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In her free time, Charlotte enjoys travelling to new countries and spending time with her family.

Dental Receptionist / Treatment Co-Ordinator / Dental Nurse

Katie is a long-standing member of the Brickstables team having joined back in 2014. Katie qualified as a dental nurse in 2006 and has since covered many areas of dental nursing, including orthodontics, cosmetics, and implants. She now works on reception full-time and is responsible for managing our patients’ treatments and ensuring that they receive the care they need in a timely and effective manner. Katie is a warm, welcoming member of the team that patients love to see when they come for their appointments.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband.

Practice Manager

Christine qualified from the London Hospital with a merit in 1988 and has been working with Francois since 1989. As practice manager, Christine is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice and aims to make patients’ visits as comfortable as possible. Christine is extremely passionate about patient care and works to strive for the best for the patients and her team.
In her spare time, Christine enjoys horse-riding with her friends and looking after her dogs.

Assistant Practice Manager

Camilla qualified as a dental nurse in 2012, with experience in both private and NHS practices. Camilla is very passionate about her job and enjoys all aspects of nursing. Since qualifying, she has gained certificates in radiography, first aid, sedation nursing, and impression taking.
After being at the practice for 6 years, Camilla was promoted to Assistant Practice Manager in 2022 where she enjoyed learning the business aspect of dentistry and aids Christine with the day-to-day running of the practice.

Head Receptionist
Lisa joined Brickstables as the head receptionist in 2022. She enjoys learning all aspects of dentistry and is always keen to learn new skills to better aid the patients. Lisa can be found on the front desk at reception. There is always a smile on Lisa’s face, ready to welcome to patients to the practice and ensure they journey with us is smooth from the beginning to the end. She makes sure that Brickstables’ patients have premium experiences by prioritising seamless interactions with patients.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time her friends, horse riding, and kayaking.

Dental Receptionist / Treatment Co-Ordinator
Shawna has been a member of the Brickstables team since 2020 and is always a friendly face for patients to see. She trained as a dental nurse and qualified in 2017. Shawna found her passion in working on reception and speaking with patients. She can be found at reception where she strives to make the patients feel they have had a great sense of care given to them, especially when they arrive and depart from their appointments.
Shawna welcomed her daughter Mabel in 2022 with her partner.
